Nature of Services

Ravin Lovett, LLC provides art as therapy services. These services are provided by Ravin Lovett, ATR-P, LPAT-P, a Provisionally Licensed Art Therapist in the State of Mississippi, practicing under supervision in compliance with state regulations and the ethical standards of the American Art Therapy Association (AATA) and the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB).

Art Therapy Is Not a Substitute for Emergency Care

Art as therapy services are not a substitute for emergency mental health services, crisis intervention, or acute psychiatric care. If you are in crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately.

Scope of Practice

• Services are provided only within the scope authorized by the provider's credentials and licensure
• Services are available only in jurisdictions where the provider is authorized to practice
• Art therapy does not include the prescribing of medication
• Art therapy is not a replacement for psychiatric or medical treatment

Confidentiality

All client information and session content are held in strict confidence in accordance with AATA ethical principles and applicable state laws. Confidentiality may only be broken in the following circumstances:

• Risk of imminent harm to self or others
• Suspected abuse or neglect of a minor or vulnerable adult
• Legal obligation by court order
• Client provides written consent to release information

Informed Consent

All clients receive and sign an informed consent document prior to beginning services. This document outlines the nature of art therapy, its limitations, confidentiality, fees, cancellation policies, and the provider's credentials.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

Art therapy services may be beneficial for many individuals; however, no specific outcome or result is guaranteed. Progress depends on many factors including the client's participation, goals, and circumstances.

Supervision

As a provisionally licensed art therapist (ATR-P, LPAT-P), Ravin Lovett practices under clinical supervision as required by Mississippi state regulations and ATCB standards. Supervisor information is provided to clients upon request.
